Good Luck Pirates!!!!
The Lady Pirate Softball team has advanced to the DIII State Tournament to be held at Akron Firestone Stadium this weekend. They will play on Friday, June 2nd at 10 AM vs Cardington-Lincoln. The address for the facility is 1575 Firestone Pkwy, Akron, OH 44301.
Ellie Ruby will also represent the Lady Pirates in track at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University this weekend. She will run the 100m and 300m hurdles on Friday at 2 PM and 3:20 PM and then long jump on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Finals for hurdles will follow Saturday at 1 PM and 2:15 PM.

Summer Rural Delivery Meals Program
The COAD/RSVP of the Ohio Valley will be participating in the Summer Rural Delivery Meals Program. Click here for more information and to print an application. Applications can be picked up at the Wheelersburg Local School Board Office as well. 
Youth Football Camp
The Wheelersburg Football Program will be holding a Youth Football Camp July 6th - 8th at Ed Miller Stadium from 9 - 11 am for 1st -4th Grades in the 2017 - 2018 school year. Please see attached flyers for information and registration.

Scioto County High School Art Show
On May 18, at Visually Literate, the Scioto County High School Art show reception and award ceremony, seven Wheelersburg High School students represented the district with art in the show.

Congratulations to Rohit Kataria on receiving a Superior Rating (perfect score of 40) at the State Science Fair!!! 
Congratulations to Girls' Track
The girls' track team won SOC. Making first team SOC was Alyssa Emnett, Ellie Ruby, Sydney White, Kylan Canary, Paige Emnett, Gabby Deacon, Alyssa Dingus, Lani Irwin, and Emma Saltsman. Making second team SOC was Lyndlee Willis, Kiara Tilley, and Jasmine Sosby. Ellie was the girls' division 3 high point.   
JH / Peewee Football Camp
The Wheelersburg Football program will be holding a JH / Peewee Football camp July 10 - 13th from 9 - 11am at Ed Miller Stadium for grades 5th - 8th for the 2017 - 2018 school year. Please see attached Flyer and Registration Form.

Congratulations to Ben Allen, Nic Jones, and Drew Jackson for qualifying for districts in tennis on May 20, in Athens. They will be playing in Portsmouth for a district seed.

Shoot Out Rescheduled
The EP7 Shootout has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 13. Click for more information. 
Culture Fest is Sunday, April 30, from 1 - 3 p.m.
Foreign language students and teachers have been busy preparing for Culture Fest. There will be displays with information about different countries, authentic foods served by the freshmen, displays of Spanish-speaking artists and artwork recreations by the sophomores, Spanish Scooby Doo episode videos, and a dance performed live by the juniors and seniors. Mexican soda and coffee will be available for sale. Pinatas will be on display along with face painting and a photo booth.
 
Reality Fair
Freshmen students had an enlightening day Friday at the Personal Finance Reality Fair sponsored by Desco Federal Credit Union. Representatives from area businesses were on hand to give students an opportunity to learn about jobs, purchasing cars and houses, and surviving in the real world.

SOMC Summer Junior Volunteer Program
SOMC is in search of teens who are interested in volunteering for SOMC's Summer Junior Volunteer Program.  
CCP, AP Test, ACT, Scholarships, Peer/Math Tutoring
College Credit Plus (for next school year)
- Students interested in College Credit Plus for next year (including students taking ENGL1101 and/or ENGL1105 at the high school) must attend a College Credit Plus meeting with a parent/guardian, complete the CCP college application, complete the reimbursement form, complete the intent form, and be accepted to a college based on ACT scores or placement test scores. Intent forms are due April 1. College applications have their own deadlines. Once you are accepted, bring a copy of your acceptance letter to the guidance office.

Congratulations to Boys' Tennis
Congratulations to the Tennis Team in a victory over West. Next match is with Valley on 4/20 at home. 
Congratulations to Boys' Track
The boys' track team won the Portsmouth Invitational. Alan Patrick was 1st in the 300 hurdles, 3rd in the 110 hurdles, and was on the 4x4 relay that placed 2nd. 
Congratulations to Boys' Track
The boys' track placed 2nd at the Minford Invitational in Division 3. Dominic Reyes placed 1st in the 400 and 2nd in the 200. C. J. Hall placed 3rd in discus with a personal best 125' 5".  
Congratulations to Girls' Track
The girls' track team won the Minford invitational. Event winners were: Ellie Ruby, Paige Emnett, Alyssa Emnett, Sydney White, Lani Irwin, Alyssa Dingus, Kylan Canary, Emma Saltsman, and Lyndlee Willis.
