Freshman Registration
The current eighth graders received an email with important information regarding registration for ninth grade classes.  Students will register with Google Forms.  The form must be completed by Wednesday, April 8.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email Rebecca Davis at rebecca.davis@wheelersburg.net.  

 
Registration Fall 2020
It is time to schedule classes for the 2020-2021 school year. This year, students will be emailing initial course requests. Changes to initial course requests can be made after May 1. Teacher signatures will not be required at this time. Students can print the registration sheet, write on it, then scan or email a picture of the completed form to rebecca.davis@wheelesburg.net. Or, you may email the course number and course name of the courses you would like to take next year. In your email, make sure to state if you would like to take College Credit Plus courses on a college campus. Make sure to add your student ID (your lunch number) and alternate courses. Junior course requests must be completed by Monday, March 30. Sophomore course requests must be completed by Tuesday, March 31. Click the links below for the documents you need. Email Mrs. Davis if you have questions.

Congratulations Rohit!
The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Program was established by the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA) to promote and recognize outstanding academic achievement. One senior from each county in Ohio will receive this annual honor. Rohit Kataria is the Scioto County winner of the 2020 Franklin B. Walter Award.

Parents Joining Google Classroom
Any parent wishing to join Google Classroom to be able to monitor their child's learning can do so by emailing the teacher. The teacher can give the parent access to Google Classroom.

Wheelersburg High School Red Cross Blood Drive
Results of the Blood Drive:  50 donors total with 59 units of blood collected.
This is 17 more units than in the fall of 2019.
59 units of blood can potentially save 177 lives.

Rohit Kataria - A Finalist for the National Merit Scholarship

A senior at Wheelersburg High School has been named a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship. Wheelersburg High School student Rohit Kataria has survived through a pool of 1.6 million, to advance into the final stages of selection. In the final process, there are 15,000 finalists for Kataria to battle against.

 

 
Americanism Test Winners
Congratulations Gracie Reed and James Meyers, the state winners on the Americanism Test this year. Students will visit Washington DC and Gettysburg, Pa. the first week of March. Congratulations!

Personal Finance Reality Fair
On Thursday, February 20th Wheelersburg H.S. hosted its 10th annual Personal Finance Reality Fair. In cooperation with DESCO Federal Credit Union and sponsored by Milhuff-Stang CPA, the reality fair offered over 120+ 9th grade students opportunities to apply their knowledge of personal finance to real world situations. Saving, investing, budgeting, and credit are all topics that were covered. Also, in attendance were representatives from the Office of the Ohio Treasurer. A special thanks to the numerous community and parent volunteers who were on hand to help in making this day a memorable learning experience.  Go Burg!
