Professional Development DayThe Wheelersburg Local Schools will have a teacher and staff professional development day on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. There will be no classes for students in the building. Transportation will be provided to students who attend classes at Portsmouth West Middle School, South Webster Elementary School, Valley Elementary School, SCCTC and CAPE.

Parent/Teacher ConferencesThe Wheelersburg Local Schools will hold Parent/Teacher Conferences as follows: 1) Tuesday, March 26, 2024 - There will be no school for preschool and kindergarten students. Preschool and kindergarten conferences will be by appointment throughout the day. 2) Wednesday, March 27, 2024 - Conferences in grades PS-3 will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 & 5:30 - 8:30 pm (by appointment). Conferences for grades 4-12 will be from 2:00 - 5:00 & 5:30 - 8:00 pm. The teachers will have a short dinner break from 5:00 - 5:30 pm. 3) Thursday, March 28, 2023, there will be no school in lieu of conferences.
Annual Open Enrollment Parent MeetingThe Wheelersburg Local Schools will hold their Annual Open Enrollment Parent Meeting on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00 pm in the library. This meeting is intended for parents of students not currently enrolled in the District that want to open enroll their child for the 2024-2025 school year. However, all parents are invited to attend and will be treated to a short, informative meeting of the District’s Open Enrollment program. New applications will be accepted at the conclusion of the meeting and beginning on Tuesday, April 2 at the Board of Education offices at 620 Center Street.
Preschool Pre-Registration InformationOn Wednesday, March 27, the preschool pre-registration process will begin for the 2024-2025 school year in the Tiered classroom. The preschool registration process will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Parents must bring proof of income for all members of the household and proof of residence/address. The preschool child does not need to be present.
Kindergarten RegistrationKindergarten Registration will be on April 25th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and April 26th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children must be 5 years old by September 30th and should attend registration. Parents should bring the following required documents: 1) copy of official birth certificate; 2) custody papers if applicable; 3) immunization records; 4) social security card; 5) parent’s driver’s license; 6) proof of residence.
