Hi! My name is Miranda Bobst and I am teaching seventh grade Language Arts. I have lived most of my life in Huber Heights and Beavercreek, Ohio, which are both suburbs of Dayton, Ohio. Six years ago we moved to Vanceburg, Kentucky, along the Ohio River. My husband David and I do not have any children but we do have two dogs, Minnie and Orrie, and a cat, Kitty Cass, whom we spoil like they were our children.
I graduated with my Associate's degree from Sinclair Community College and my Bachelor's degree is in Middle Childhood Education, which I received from Wright State University. I also have my Master's in Education from Antioch McGregor University. I have taught for fourteen years; eight years in Huber Heights and I am starting my seventh year of teaching here at Wheelersburg Middle School. I have always taught the subject Language Arts, but I have moved around several different grade levels: fourth, seventh, and eighth. I love teaching and seventh grade is my favorite! I am looking forward to another great year working with seventh graders continuing my education on becoming a pirate!
Students will be completing an 'Owl' About Me page the first week of school so we can get to know each other better. I will choose one student from each class every week as the 'Owl' About Me: Student of the Week, and their page will hang up in my classroom that week so the rest of the class and all of 7th grade can know more about them too!
